The question your doctor never asks
and how God doesn't make mistakes when it comes to your healing
“How’s your heart?”
A question that isn’t often asked in the clinic, but the one that heals.
If you’re here reading my emails and posts, it’s most likely because you’re fed up.
You’re not here because you want to learn more about what’s making you unwell, you’re here because you are ready to live in freedom—free from chasing after root causes and being bound to the ‘wellness’ narrative that says you need more.
Detoxes, cleanses, heavy metal protocols, adrenal cocktails, and the latest red light therapy and cycle syncing apps…you’ve already done it all.
You’ve tested it all.
You’ve gone the conventional way + the holistic and functional way.
Yet, something still feels off and you’re not quite exactly where you’d thought you be.
That’s because most practitioners don’t ask you this vital question that is so deeply involved in your healing: “How is your heart?”
You can use the best technology, know all the reasons why your blood sugar is imbalanced, and take all the herbal supplements you want, but unless you really get to the core of your heart health, AKA your spiritual well-being, healing will always feel like a checklist—never ending and unsustainable.
Can you imagine how you would feel if you were no longer running away from dysregulation, but embracing it?
Or what it would feel like if you could trust and open your heart again?
Less reactivity and more presence?
Can I share something personal with you?
I just got engaged to my best friend this weekend.
It was the most beautiful, and freeing experiences in my life.
But for a long time, I felt bitter and frustrated with God about my timeline. I kept asking Him,
“Why is this happening to me? Why not me? Why do you keep me waiting?”
I began to believe in the lies of the enemy that I simply wasn’t worth it—that I was not good enough to receive the gift of marriage yet. I began to compare myself to other Christians and felt shameful for staying in a relationship without getting married.
This angst and anxiety lingered inside for a long time and caused a lot of health issues for me.
Until I slowly learned how to heal with Grace—with God.
I stopped idolizing marriage. I stopped believing in the lies. I stopped choosing fear and started getting rooted in the Word. I learned how to speak in the language of God and learned how to regulate my emotions with Him. I submitted my desires and chose to leave my heart in His hands.
In time, I could see and experience how the Lord was healing me from the inside out.
I was no longer living in fear and repeating trauma patterns that kept my heart and health in prison.
I finally felt free and present in my own body as I lived out my faith and gave my trust fully to God. Freedom from symptom management.
The reason I’m telling you this is because healing doesn’t always come in the way you expect it to—it doesn’t happen by force or knowledge.
It happens through Grace, through surrender, and softening to the way of the Lord.
He didn’t design the body with errors—He intentionally placed the heart in the center of the body as a reminder that without Him, healing is so fickle.
So as I step into a new chapter of my life, I am just reminded and called to remind you that Jesus is the way—He is life. The more you cling onto Him, the more you’ll see how He has a plan all along.
You just have to trust that His plan is better.
This is truly why I created the Firmly Rooted Woman Mentorship—to lead and guide you towards a way of healing that is rooted not in what the world says, but in the truth of God’s words.
You will experience shifts in your health that you’ve never seen before.
